The counselling process for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025 is a critical step for candidates seeking admission to programs offered by the National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi). This process ensures a fair and transparent selection of students based on their merit and reservation category.
After AILET 2025 results were declared on 12th December, 2024, candidates are looking forward to be invited to register for the counselling process. NLU Delhi has announced 120 seats in total for its BALLB Program and 81 seats for the LLM Program.
Candidates who have successfully cleared the AILET 2025 examination and meet the merit cut-offs are eligible to participate in the counselling process. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to join the counselling rounds based on their ranks and available seats in their respective categories.
The counselling process will begin on 13th December, 2024 and end on 22nd December, 2024.

NLU Delhi will invite candidates to register online for the counselling process beginning 13th December, 2024. The number of candidates invited will be approximately 3 times the number of seats available.
Candidates must register for the counselling process by paying a non-refundable registration fee. This step confirms their interest in participating in the admission rounds. Candidates have to pay a fee of Rs. 30,000 if they belong to general or Kashmiri Migrant category and others will be required to pay a fee of Rs. 20,000.
Candidates who receive a seat allotment must confirm their acceptance by paying the admission fee within the stipulated time. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of the seat.
The First Provisional Seat Allotment List will be declared on 27th December, 2024.
Based on merit, category, and availability of seats, candidates will be allocated seats in their preferred programs. The seat allocation is conducted in multiple rounds to ensure all vacancies are filled.
All candidates should login and check their AILET account regularly to see if they have been invited for counselling. Eligible candidates will also receive an SMS/e-mail on their registered phone number or e-mail ID inviting them to register for the counselling process.

Shortlisted candidates are required to upload or submit original documents for verification. Essential documents include:
- AILET 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard
- Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets
- Category/Reservation Certificates (if applicable)
- PwD Certificate (if applicable)
- Identity Proof
