In yesterday’s press release, the CLAT Consortium had stated the CLAT 2025 Provisional Answer Key for both UG and PG will be released on December 2, 2024 at 4 PM.
Student reactions to the CLAT 2025 UG paper have been mixed with some terming it as easy while others found the paper slightly confusing.
Many students found the paper moderately challenging, with certain sections being more time-consuming than others. The Legal Reasoning and General Knowledge sections were easy, while English and Logical Reasoning were seen as a bit moderate in terms of difficulty. Quantitative Techniques continued to be a pain point for many candidates due to its time-consuming nature.
Apart from that, students were confused about the accuracy of a couple of questions especially one passage on Seating Arrangement.

Sectional Breakdown of CLAT 2025
English Language
The passages in this section were straightforward, centered on thematic content. The questions focused on comprehension and interpretation, without requiring advanced analytical skills. Very few vocabulary-based questions were asked, making this section accessible to most candidates.
Overall, the difficulty level ranged from easy to moderate.
Current Affairs and General Knowledge
This section presented questions from a mix of static and dynamic general knowledge. While many questions were straightforward, a few posed a challenge for some students.
Despite this, the section was rated easy to moderate in terms of difficulty by most candidates.
Legal Reasoning
This was one of the easier sections of the CLAT 2025 paper. Passages required careful reading and application of legal principles and most of the answers could be easily derived from the passages. Although the legal concepts themselves were not overly difficult, the sheer volume of content made it challenging to manage within the time constraints for a few students. The length of the passages were definitely shorter than previous year papers.
Overall, this was one of the easier sections of the paper.
Logical Reasoning
This section turned out to be more manageable than expected. It emphasized critical thinking and logical analysis, with questions drawn from both textual and contextual reasoning. Most students found this section relatively easier compared to others. however, a large number of students faced issues when it came to the passage on seating arrangement and therefore termed the section to be moderate in terms of difficulty.
Quantitative Techniques
This section combined straightforward questions with more complex ones, especially in the caselets. Problems involving ratios, percentages, and data interpretation were slightly time-consuming, making it a demanding section for many candidates.
