CLAT 2027 Exam Date Announced: Consortium Releases Official Schedule; Applications Open on August 3

The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has officially announced the schedule for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027. As per the press release issued on July 22, 2026, the CLAT 2027 examination will be conducted on Sunday, December 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The announcement marks the beginning of the admission cycle for one of India’s most competitive law entrance examinations. Candidates aspiring to secure admission to participating National Law Universities (NLUs) should now begin their preparation in line with the officially announced timeline.

The decision regarding the examination schedule was taken during the meetings of the Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the Consortium of National Law Universities, held on July 18, 2026. The Consortium has also stated that further details regarding the admission process and CLAT 2027 will be notified in due course.
