Which Subjects Should You Cover for CLAT PG 2027?

The syllabus includes Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Contract Law, Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, and Labour and Industrial Law.
The CLATalogue roadmap labels the first nine subjects as major preparation priorities and the final four as minor preparation priorities. These are study-planning labels, not an official subject-wise mark distribution. The downloadable PDF gives the individual doctrines, statutes, case-law themes and planned revision dates for every subject.

Daily CLAT PG 2027 Study Targets: MCQs, Passages and Case Briefs

Follow the same daily learning loop: learn or revise → active recall → passage-based MCQs → structured case briefs → error log. The roadmap generally calls for 40–60 MCQs and two passages daily, with larger sets on testing days. It aims for 500 or more structured case briefs in total, counting work completed before November. Most days target approximately 7–8 new briefs, increasing on some test days.
For every incorrect MCQ, record the concept, correct legal rule, relevant case or statute, and one-line explanation of the error. This makes revision more targeted than passive rereading.

CLAT PG 2027 Mock Test and PYQ Strategy

The roadmap schedules full-length mock tests on 22 and 29 November 2026, alongside earlier diagnostic and sectional tests. Each full mock should be attempted under timed conditions: 120 questions in 120 minutes.
Analyse mistakes as knowledge gaps, misreads, bad elimination, overthinking or time pressure. Prepare your Top 50 Errors list by 20 November and finish your Final 100 Cases revision deck by 29 November. The full PDF includes each day’s practice and tracking requirements.

Final Five Days Before CLAT PG 2027: 1–5 December

Use 1 December for Criminal and Contract Law; 2 December for Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence and Administrative Law; 3 December for Torts, Property, Family and Company Law; and 4 December for the smaller subject blocks and important legal updates.
5 December is a taper day. Review the final case deck, error log, key provisions, exam strategy and travel documents. Do not attempt a full mock; stop early and protect your sleep.
