CLAT PG 2019 followed a format that no longer exists today. National Law University Odisha conducted the exam on 26th May 2019, and the paper carried both an objective section and a subjective section, unlike the fully passage-based format used from 2020 onward.

Part A carried 100 objective multiple choice questions, and Part B added a separate 50 mark subjective component where candidates had to write descriptive answers. The current CLAT PG paper dropped the subjective section entirely and moved to 120 objective questions built entirely around comprehension passages.

This makes the 2019 paper less useful as a direct mock test for today's exam, but genuinely useful for one thing: strengthening core subject knowledge, since its objective questions tested concepts directly rather than through a passage.

Use it to test your grip on individual topics like Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence, not to simulate the current exam format or timing. Pair it with a recent year's paper if you want realistic practice for the passage-based style you will actually face.
