• Union Minister Piyush Goyal launches ‘Grand Hackathon’.
• – Conducted in hybrid mode with Physical event held at BSE, Maharashtra– Organised by Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), which is a project started by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade in collaboration with NABARD. – Has two events: Agri Grant Challenge and Agri Innovation Hackathon. – This will onboard the entire farm value chain, like FPOs, Mandis, Processors, exporters, and small retailers to e-commerce.– Piyush Goyal: Minister of Commerce and Industry, Minister of Textiles, Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution. – NABARD Chairman: GR Chintala.
• New PM of Israel. – Yair Lapid has become the new PM of Israel. – He becomes the 14th PM. Leader of Yesh Atid Party. – He replaced Neftali Bennet. – Knesset: Israel’s unicameral parliament. – President of Israel: Isaac Herzog

• UN Ocean Conference, 2022. – Held in Lisbon, Portugal.– To ensure global cooperation towards protection and sustenance of the ocean ecosystem.– Indian delegation was headed by Minister of Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh. – Dates: June 27- July 1, 2022.– Hosted by governments of Kenya and Portugal, together.– Location: Lisbon Altice Arena Convention Center, Lisbon, Portugal. – Theme: Scaling up ocean action based on science and innovation for the implementation of Goal 14: stocktaking, partnerships and solutions. – SDG Goal 14: Life Below Water– World Ocean’s Day: 8th June. – UN Secretary-General: Antonio Guterres– UN Headquarters: New York.
