Passage 1

Eight students Canny, Cathy, Crumbs, Chetan, Charu, Cheetah, Cheeni and Chakia appeared in an exam and secured ranks from 1st to 8th. No two students are on the same rank and no students are on two ranks. There are only two genders – Male and Female. With the conditions given below, answer the questions that follow.
In the rank list, Cheetah is immediately after Canny who is not a female.
Cheeni is immediately next to the top ranker and she is a female.
Canny is on the 3rd rank.
Chetan is neither on the 1st rank nor on the 5th or 6th or 7th rank and he is a male.
Chakia has ranked 2 places higher to Cathy (Female) who ranked second last.
Chakia and Charu are not female.
