In this section, there will be questions from passages around 400-450 words. These passages may relate to factual situations depicting legal matters, public policy questions or moral philosophical situations. Although no prior knowledge of law is required to solve these questions, you will need to have a general awareness of contemporary legal developments. Each passage would be followed by a series of questions that will require you to:

Important Topics for CLAT 2025: Logical Reasoning
Questions from CLAT 2023 Logical Reasoning Section were primarily straightforward. However, it was the length of the passages, contextual understanding and critical analyses that the candidates struggled with a bit.
The Logical Reasoning section of CLAT usually includes a series of short passages of about 300 words each. Each passage is followed by one or more questions that will require you to:
- Recognize an argument, its premises and conclusions;
- Read and identify the arguments set out in the passage;
- Critically analyze patterns of reasoning, and assess how conclusions may depend on particular premises or evidence;
- Infer what follows from the passage and apply these inferences to new situations;
- Draw relationships and analogies, identify contradictions and equivalence, and assess the effectiveness of arguments.

Important Topics for CLAT 2025: Current Affairs including GK
In the CLAT 2023 Paper Current Affairs section, though the passages ranged from current affairs topics like FIFA World Cup to supercomputers and AI, the students were troubled with a myriad of Static GK questions. This unprecedented focus on Static GK makes this section harder than what most students might have expected. Students who had read newspapers throughout the year were sure to find themselves in an advantageous position.

While CLAT 2021 and 2022 had relatively easier questions, questions in CLAT 2023 were moderate in nature. In Quantitative Techniques section, questions include short sets of facts or propositions, graphs, or other textual, pictorial or diagrammatic representations of numerical information, followed by a series of questions. Candidates are required to derive information from such passages, graphs, or other representations, and apply mathematical operations on such information.
The candidates need to :
- Derive, infer, and manipulate numerical information set out in such passages, graphs, or other representations;
- Apply various 10th standard mathematical operations on such information, including from areas such as ratios and proportions, basic algebra, mensuration and statistical estimation.
