SLAT Exam 2022 Rescheduled: Check Exam Date, Pattern, Syllabus
The Symbiosis Law Admission Test or SLAT is the entrance exam for admission into Symbiosis Law School, which falls under the Symbiosis International University. There are a total of 4 campuses, for which a candidate can take this exam: Pune, Hyderabad, Noida and Nagpur. The SLAT Exam 2022 has been rescheduled.
When will SLAT exam 2022 be held?
As per the directions of the authorities concerned, SLAT 2022 will be held on July 03, 2022, from 9 AM to 10 AM, instead of June 26, 2022. The results will be out, tentatively, on July 12, 2022.
What is the last date of application?
The last date to apply for SLAT exam 2022 is June 15, 2022. Candidates can apply through the official website of the exam which is linked here.
Application Fee for SLAT 2022
The application fee to appear for SLAT is Rs. 1950, with an additional fee of Rs. 1000 charged for each campus or programme you apply for. There are 4 campuses, each offering both B.A. LL.B. and B.B.A. LL.B. programmes.
If, for example, a candidate wishes to apply for B.A. LL.B. in SLS, Pune, they will have to pay Rs. 1000. If the candidate wishes to apply for B.B.A LL.B. in the same campus, they will have to pay Rs. 1000 more.
Do not make the mistake of just applying for the test by paying Rs. 1950 and nothing more, it is essential for you to individually select a combination of a campus and a program, to get admission in the same.
What will be the Admission Process for SLAT 2022?
SLAT is followed by the Writing Ability Test, or the WAT. To take admission in any one of the Symbiosis Law Schools, students need to qualify a multi-level admission process. The first and the most important step is appearing for SLAT and WAT and passing SLAT 2022, with an adequate number of marks. Only then will the essay written in WAT be sent for checking to the respective institute you have applied for.
Once the candidate has passed the Writing ability test, he/she will be eligible to appear for the Personal Interview or the PI Round. It is on the basis of all these scores that the candidate will be given admission to SLS.
What is the Pattern of SLAT Exam 2022?
SLAT 2022 will be an online, home-based, remote-proctored test. Candidates will be given 60 minutes to solve 60 questions. There will be a total of 5 sections, 12 questions from each.
One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and there will be no negative-marking. These 5 sections are- Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge.

- Main point, etc.
Legal Reasoning:
Questions can be asked from topics like-

- Intellectual Property Rights, etc.
Analytical Reasoning:
Questions can be asked from topics like-
- Blood Relations,
- Coding-Decoding,
- Analogies,
- Series,
- Directions,
- Mathematical Topics like- Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Time, Distance and Work, etc.
Reading Comprehension:
Questions can be asked from topics like-
- Synonyms
- Antonyms
- Word Meanings
- Main Point
- Title of the passage
- Grammatical errors, etc.
General Knowledge:
Questions can be asked from topics like-
- International developments
- History
- Economics
- Geography
- Sports
- Awards, etc.
Syllabus for WAT:
In the Writing Ability Test, you’ll be asked to write an essay on any one of the two topics given. Topics can range from themes like Current legal developments, and Current affairs to Philosophy. Read up on such topics, from the past few months, and decide upon a structure that you’ll use to write the essay.
Don’t forget to solve mocks and practice questions, as much as you can. Revise current affairs. Practice writing essays, correct your grammar and spellings. Make sure that you are aware of the major developments from around the world.
