AILET 2025 UG Analysis: Exam Pattern, Difficulty Level, Cut-off and More!
The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025 was conducted on December 8, 2024, in an offline format. With 150 multiple-choice questions distributed across three sections: English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning- this year’s paper was reported as easier compared to previous years.

Overall Difficulty Level
The overall difficulty level of AILET 2025 could be said to be between easy to moderate. The exam, as reported by many students, was easier compared to previous years. There were no surprises in the type of questions asked, which made it predictable. Most students could answer a large number of questions, though some sections took more time than others.

- English Language: 50 questions (50 marks)
- Current Affairs & General Knowledge: 30 questions (30 marks)

English Language
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate.
Analysis: The section included 6 reading comprehension passages, which were relatively straightforward, except for a few questions with close choices. Vocabulary, tone, and data-related questions were incorporated within the passages. Grammar-based questions, though few, tested a candidate’s ability to grasp nuances in language.
General Knowledge & Current Affairs
Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult.
Analysis: This section combined static GK with current affairs. While some current affairs questions were easy, the static GK, covering topics like economic policies, historical events, and famous personalities, posed a challenge for many students. This was regarded as the toughest section in the paper
Logical Reasoning
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate.
Analysis: This section saw a higher proportion of analytical reasoning, including questions on series, coding, and arrangements. These were easier compared to the legal reasoning questions, which were limited to only 8 questions.
Legal reasoning questions were principle-fact-based and relatively direct. The section was lengthy but balanced, allowing candidates to manage time effectively with the easier questions from analytical reasoning
Legal Reasoning (within Logical Reasoning)
Difficulty: Moderate.
Analysis: The legal reasoning questions, though limited, were quite direct. They consisted mainly of principle-fact questions where the candidate had to apply basic legal concepts. There were no lengthy legal passages, making this part more manageable
AILET 2025 Highest Score
The highest score in AILET 2025 is likely to be higher than previous years due to the paper’s relatively easier difficulty level. Based on patterns from earlier AILET exams, it’s expected that the top scorer might achieve a score of 130 marks or more, surpassing the highest scores seen in past years
AILET 2025 Expected Cut-off
The expected cut-off for AILET UG 2025 is likely to be higher than previous years, given the paper’s difficulty level and the overall trend of increasing competition.
The expected cut-off for general category candidates is around 105-110 marks. For SC candidates, the cut-off is likely to be around 75-80 marks. The cut-off for ST candidates is expected to be between 65-70 marks.
