This Refresher on Analogy for SLAT will give you a basic idea about how to solve the question on Analogy accurately and quickly. The analogy is a topic of reasoning for SLAT and needs a lot of presence of mind to be solved effectively. It basically tests the thinking ability of the candidate and the extent to which he can draw relationships between things or subjects.
The best way to learn to solve analogy for SLAT is by understanding the relationship between the given terms and then choosing the option that is related to the term in question in the same way. Another thing that the analogy question aims at testing is the vocabulary of the candidate.
Questions will often involve terms that are related to each other by the way of being synonym or antonym and it is important for you to know the meaning of those words. Without understanding what the word means, it is impossible to derive the relationship between the words given and consequently impossible to draw an analogy.
As we all would agree, a good vocabulary is not a result of one day of dictionary reading, rather it evolves consistently with the improved reading habit.
