Difficulty Level of the CLAT 2023 PG Exam: An Analysis
SubjectsTotal Questions
Constitutional Law
The exam, in total, consisted of 44 pages. Overall, it can be said that the difficulty level of CLAT PG was moderate to difficult. There were 12 legal passages, each containing 10 questions related to the passage. The question paper was based on topics that have been of recent concern to the legal community.
The questions asked in the paper highlighted the significance of recent judicial decisions, landmark judgments, and application-based questions. It was quite surprising to see questions from IPR and securities law this time, as these topics are generally not tested in the CLAT PG Exam. The paper was application-based, testing the reading speed and analytical skills of students.
The majority of questions asked were from constitutional law. Most of the questions from Constitutional  Law were spread across three passages and were moderately difficult to attempt.
A complete passage from IPR and insider trading regulations under Securities Law was also asked which was also something that candidates had not anticipated.
