Why Solve This Paper
Solving the actual CLAT PG 2024 paper shows you how the exam frames questions, which subjects carry the most weight, and where candidates typically lose marks. It trains you to think the way the paper setters think, which sets you up better than generic practice sets ever can.
The paper also reveals the current exam style directly, since CLAT PG now tests legal reasoning almost entirely through passage-based questions. Attempt it under timed conditions, and you’ll also learn how negative marking affects your strategy in real time.
CLAT PG Exam Pattern at a Glance
The exam carries 120 multiple choice questions worth one mark each, and you get two hours to complete it. Each wrong answer deducts 0.25 marks, so accuracy matters as much as speed. Most questions build on a short passage followed by two to five questions that test interpretation and application, not memory.
The paper draws from Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Contract Law, Tort Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, Property Law, Public International Law, and Intellectual Property Law, along with current legal developments.

How to Use This Paper Effectively
Attempt the full paper in one sitting, within the two-hour limit, before you check any answers. This builds the same pressure you’ll face on exam day. Once you finish, review your unsure answers yourself first, then compare them against the answer key. Note why each wrong answer went wrong, whether you missed a concept, misread the passage, or rushed under time pressure, since each mistake needs a different fix.
Revisit the same paper after two or three weeks. A higher score the second time tells you your preparation is actually improving, not just your memory of this one paper.
