Taking CLAT this year and wondering how to prepare for the current affairs section? Here’s a list of important current affairs for the month of June 2022 with tips and tricks on how you can score more. 
1. President confers one Kirti Chakra and 14 Shaurya Chakras:
  • When did he present the awards? – Defence Investiture Ceremony (Phase-2).
  • Location- Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.
  • Awards were given to the personnel of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces and Police for displaying conspicuous gallantry, indomitable courage and extreme devotion to duty.
  • Kirti Chakra: Jammu and Kashmir Police Altaf Hussain Bhat, posthumously.
  • Also conferred 13 Param Vishisht Seva Medals and 29 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals.
2. Coinswitch launches Crypto Rupee Index (CRE8):
  • Co-founder and CEO of CoinSwitch: Ashish Singhal.
  • India’s largest Crypto Investing App.
  • CRE8: Top eight crypto-assets, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Binance coin, Cardano.
  • Measured by market cap in its index composition.
  • The crypto exchange claims that it is India’s first benchmark index to measure the performance of the Indian Rupee-based crypto market.
3. Kangra Valley Summer Festival, Dharamshala:
  • Inaugurated by CM of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur
  • Organised from 2nd June to 9th June, 2022.
4. New CEO of Niti Aayog:
  • Retired IAS officer Parameswaran Iyer.
  • Old CEO- Amitabh Kant
  • Appointed by ‘Appointments Committee of the Cabinet’
  • General term of the post: 2 years
  • Niti Aayog: Apex Public Policy Thinktank.
  • First CEO of Niti Aayog- Sindhushree Khullar
5. India’s permanent representative to the UN:
  • New Permanent Representative to UN- Ruchira Kamboj
  • Previous Permanent Representative- TS Tirumurti
  • She was the Indian Ambassador to Bhutan previously.
  • She is India’s first woman to serve as the Permanent Representative.
These topics have been selected because of how important they are from the CLAT perspective. However, this list is only indicative, not exhaustive.

Tips to prepare for CLAT 2023 Current Affairs Including General Knowledge

  • Create a weekly list of important topics. You can do this by reading newspapers regularly and making notes.
  • Don’t just stop there. Google it. Find out more. Keep a notebook, either physical or digital and keep updating the information.
  • Read more, but from authentic sources.
  • Just making notes will not be helpful, you need to revise too. Do this periodically.
