DJS 2023 Exam Notification Released!

The High Court of Delhi has released the notification for the Delhi Judicial Service Examination for the year 2023. The first stage of the exam [DJS Prelims Exam] will be held on Sunday, the 10th of December, 2023 from 11 AM to 1:30 PM.
Delhi High Court has invited applications from eligible candidates for 53 vacancies (44 existing & 09 anticipated) to be filled via DJS 2023.

DJS 2023 Application Form

DJS 2023 Application Forms are being accepted from 07.11. 2023. The last date to apply is 22.11.2023. Candidates are advised to go through the Instructions as well as the Delhi Judicial Service Rules, 1970 (as amended up to 26.09.2023) before filling up the application form.

Delhi Judicial Service Exam 2023

The Delhi Judiciary Services Exam is one of the most competitive exams in India. The Delhi Judiciary Exam is conducted by the Delhi High Court for the recruitment of eligible candidates to various posts in the subordinate judiciary of Delhi. The exam is conducted in multiple stages and tests the candidates on their knowledge of law.

DJS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate shall be eligible to appear at the examination, if he is:-
  1. A citizen of India;
  2. A person practicing as an Advocate in India or a person qualified to be admitted as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961; and
  3. Not more than 32 years of age on the 1st day of January of the year in which the applications for appointment are invited, i.e., 01.01.2023.
  4. In the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Tribes, the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years.
  5. The upper age limit is also relaxable maximum by 5 years in the case of Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers or Short Service Commissioned Officers who have rendered at least five years military service and have been released on completion of assignment.
General category PwD (Identified Disabilities) candidates would, thus, be eligible for age relaxation up to 10 years and SC/ST category PwD (Identified Disabilities) candidates would, thus, be eligible for age relaxation up to 15 years.
Note: The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the stages of examination for which they are admitted shall be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

Application Fee for Delhi Judiciary Services Exam 2023

In order to complete the application for Delhi Judicial Services Exam 2023, the candidates need to pay the fees. The fees are non-refundable. The application fee for General Category candidates is Rs. 1500 and for reserved category [Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Person with Disabilities (identified disabilities) of 40% or more] candidates it is Rs. 400.
Mode of Payment: The application fee for DJS 2023 should be paid through Debit Card/ Credit Card/Internet Banking/UPI.

Delhi Judiciary Exam 2023 Syllabus

The Delhi Judiciary Exam is conducted in two stages:
(i) Delhi Judicial Service Preliminary Examination (Objective type with 25% negative marking) for selection for the Mains Examination (Written), and
(ii) Delhi Judicial Service Mains Examination (Written) for selection of candidates for calling for Viva-Voce.

Delhi Judicial Service Exam Admit Card

The admit card is only released on the official website of DJS Recruitment by the High Court of Delhi. Candidates must download the Admit Card from the website of High Court of Delhi and appear at the respective examination centre with original and valid photo identity document such as Voter Identity Card, Passport, Identity Card issued by the Bar Association or a Government Authority, Aadhaar Card or PAN Card.
