With technological advancements and the havoc caused by the pandemic on the economy, the role of legal professionals is changing dramatically. The legal profession needs to update from Legal Industry 4.0 to 5.0.

Mere legal knowledge is not enough, law aspirants need to upskill and identify what sort of sustainable legal careers should they plan for? How do they move forward? What should be the aim now that the entire legal system is turned on its ear?

Join Prof. Padmanabha Ramanujam as he shares his insight on this situation and offers solutions for the same. This event by lawctopus is focused on throwing light on pathways towards new legal professions.

Padmanabha Ramanujam will be leading the webinar on ’21st Century Careers in Law‘ by IFIM and Lawctopus. He comes with extensive experience in the field of education with institutions like Jindal Global Law School and AURO University. He completed his LL.M. from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, the UK in Intellectual Property Rights. He received scholarships including the Norwich Law School Scholarship and won the Best International Applicant Award. He also has a Masters in Business Law from the National Law School of India University.

He completed his B.A.L., LL.B. from University Law College, Bangalore University. He was a consulting advisor for Law School Admissions Council and was instrumental in designing 17 subject indicators to rate Universities and Colleges in India. He designed and developed E-Learning Excellence for Academic Digitisation (E-LEAD) indicators for assessing Universities commitment to e-learning. His extensive experience in academics includes working with organisations like AURO University and Jindal Global Law School.

He was invited by the President of India to write a book on the Governance of Higher Education Institution which culminated in the book published by LexisNexis titled “The President of India and the Governance of Higher Education Institutions”. He specializes in law and economics, intellectual property law, competition law, economic analysis of tort law, and economic analysis of contract law.
