Earlier this month, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) announced that it will no longer accept CLAT scores for admission in 2020 and that it will hold their own entrance called National Law Aptitude Test (NLAT).
This move was justified owing to the constant delay in holding CLAT 2020 in relation to the trimester system of NLS. The University said it would have to declare this academic year as Zero Year if this was not done.
This brought NLS at loggerheads with the CLAT Consortium, several petitions were filed, and the NLS VC skipped the Executive meeting.
The entrance test was scheduled on Sep 12 and did take place as per the plan but not without issues.
As soon as the test was over, several reports started to surface about glitches in the interface. The issues were broadly related to login, facial recognition and verification.
According to a report by Bar and Bench, NLS has decided to hold a NLAT retest for those who were affected during the examination by these glitches.
The report also says that several students have received emails with details about their retest which places the date on Sep 14. There are also some students who received an email but no date was mentioned.

The University has requested the students who faced these issues to log in to the admissions.nls.ac.in portal and raise a query by 12 noon on September 13, 2020.
