NLUO Admission Test (NAIET) 2025: Application, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Important Dates and More!

National Law University Odisha (NLUO) has announced the commencement of admissions for its 3-year LL.B. program through the NLUO All India Entrance Test (NAIET) for the academic year 2025-2026.

About NLUO Admission Test (NAIET) 2025

The NLUO All India Entrance Test (NAIET) is a national-level examination conducted exclusively by National Law University Odisha (NLUO) for admission to its 3-Year LL.B. (Hons.) programme.
While the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) caters to the 5-year integrated undergraduate law programmes and postgraduate (LL.M.) admissions, NAIET is specifically designed for graduates from any discipline seeking to pursue a legal education after completing their bachelor’s degree.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the 3-Year LL.B. (Hons.) programme. Students currently in their final year of graduation, or those awaiting their final results, can also apply on a provisional basis. However, they must present their provisional or final degree certificate, along with a conduct certificate and migration certificate, at the time of admission.

Educational Qualification for the 3 Year LL.B. Programme

  1. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks or its equivalent grade in graduation or its equivalent examination.
  2. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks or its equivalent grade in graduation or its equivalent examination.
  3. Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination in May/June 2025 are also eligible to apply.
  4. There is no upper age limit for appearing for the NLUO Admission Test (NAIET) 2025.

Exam Pattern for NAIET 2025

The admission test will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 120 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
The questions will assess candidates across three key areas:
  • English Language Proficiency
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs
  • Logical and Analytical Reasoning
The total duration of the examination will be 2 hours.

Application Fee for NAIET

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee at the time of submitting the form for the 3-Year LL.B. (Hons.) programme. The fee structure is as follows:
  • General Category: INR 3,300
  • SC/ST/PwD Categories: INR 2,800
  • NRI/NRI Sponsored/OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals: INR 5,000

Total Seats under NAIET 2025

The total number of seats available for the 3-Year LL.B. (Hons.) programme is 60.
  • 43 seats are reserved for the General category.
  • 6 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
  • 4 seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates.
  • 5 seats are reserved for candidates under the NRI/NRIs/PIO/OCI category.
  • 2 seats are reserved for Foreign National (FN) candidates.
Reservation Guidelines
  • The number of seats allocated for NRI Sponsored Candidates is subject to change based on decisions made by the university’s Governing Body.
  • To qualify under the Odisha Domicile Category, applicants must have completed their graduation from a recognized institution in Odisha with a minimum of 60% marks and must hold a valid domicile/residential certificate issued by the Government of Odisha.
  • Additionally, 5% of the total seats are horizontally reserved for Specially Abled Persons (SAP) under the All India category.

Exam Centres for NAIET 2025

Admission to the programme will be based on performance in the NLUO All India Entrance Test. The exam will be conducted in multiple cities, including Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Cuttack, Lucknow, and Guwahati.
Candidates may select preferred test centres while applying. However, the university retains the discretion to cancel any centre and reassign applicants to their next available choice, if necessary.
