Panjab University Law Entrance Exam, popularly known as the 5 Year Law exam is conducted every year for admission into its 5-year integrated law course. It has announced that the exam will be conducted on July 17, 2022.
The programme offered for admission will be B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.). 

What will be the mode of the PU 5 Year Law Exam (BA/B.Com LLB)?

The Panjab University law entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode.

What is the eligibility criteria?

All candidates who have passed 10 + 2 from a recognised board, scoring a minimum of 50% marks will be eligible for admission through this examination.

What is the pattern of the PU 5 Year Law exam?

The exam will be conducted from 10 am to 11:30 am on July 17, 2022. Candidates will have a total of 1.5 hours to write this exam. This exam will have 100 questions, divided into 4 sections, each question carrying one mark.
The four sections of the exam will be divided into the following heads:
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs: 60 questions
  • Legal Aptitude: 20 questions
  • Mathematical Aptitude: 10 questions
  • English: 10 questions

All the questions will be MCQ-based, and for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Thus, a tip would be to make educated guesses if you don’t know the answer, but do it after careful thinking, not randomly. What is the syllabus of the Panjab University Law Entrance exam?

General Knowledge and Current Affairs: Read up on both, static and current news. Cover important national and international developments like Politics, Awards, Sports, Appointments, etc.

Legal Aptitude: Learn legal maxims and phrases, common topics related to the Constitution and Judiciary, basics of Contract Law, Criminal Law, Tort Law, IPR Law, etc.

Mathematical Aptitude: Practise topics of Arithmetic and Analytical reasoning like Directions, Series, Blood Relations, Ratio and Proportion, Time, Work and Distance, etc.

English: Practise topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Corrections, One-Word substitutions, etc.

Practise mocks. Check out the question papers of previous years. Practise questions from all sections. Understand the fundamentals. Read newspapers. Keep at it, and you’ll ace the exam!
