The Kirit P. Mehta School of Law (KPMSOL) of SVKM’s NMIMS (Deemed-to-be-University) established in the year 2013 approved by the Bar Council of India aims to provide quality legal education in order to meet the aforementioned challenges.

About NMIMS Law Admission Test: NLAT 2020

NMIMS will be conducting its own Online Law Admission Test for the Undergraduate Programs: B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.). To support all the law aspirants, NMIMS has taken the step to conduct ‘NMIMS Law Admission Test: NLAT 2020. They care for the safety of every candidate and the remotely proctored online test will ensure they take the test from the safety of their own homes.
They understand the anxiety the candidates are experiencing with the delay in the commencement of the academic year and want to support them by providing a platform to start their legal journey with NMIMS sooner.
The NLAT 2020 shall be a 2-hour test, with 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. These questions would be divided across the following 5 subjects:
  • English Language: 30 marks
  • Current Affairs, including General Knowledge: 30 marks
  • Legal Reasoning: 30 marks
  • Logical Reasoning: 30 marks
  • Quantitative Techniques: 30 marks

Instructions

To ensure that the test is conducted successfully with a seamless experience they have set up a process to ensure that the candidates system is checked and configured as per the needs of taking the test remotely.
The 3- Step process as described below, will help the candidates check the infrastructure readiness and will help them prepare and get ready before the assessment on the test day.
  1. Step-1: Infrastructure Readiness Check (IRC): 16th September 2020
  2. Step-2: Data Quality Check (DQC): 16th September 2020
  3. Step-3: Exam Dry Run Check (DRC): 19th September 2020
  4. Actual Exam Date: 22nd September 2020
